25 Reasons Why I'm Excited for Fall
Hello everyone! I am back again for a new post and this one will be my first fall related post of the year! I am really excited for fall this year so I thought a post would be suffice for sharing what I love about it. But before I get into my list, I have a couple announcements:
- New look! - I'm pretty sure you have already figured this out by now but, yes-I have changed my blog look...again! I am not sure if it will stay this way forever (I'm still trying to tweak it a little bit) but for now we're just going to go with it, haha.
- I'm now a Her Campus Ambassador! - I applied about a month ago and just got notified that I was accepted! I'm super excited about it and can't wait to learn new things. If you are interested in joining you can check it out here. (They will still be accepting applications throughout September.)
Now that I've got those out of the way here is my list of reasons why I am excited for fall:
1. Cooler weather -
With having gone through 3 months of heat, it's always nice for a change-especially a cooler one. I always find the transition from summer to fall being the most rewarding. Where I live it doesn't get too cool but that is just another reason why I love it-we need a break from the heat.
2. Leaves changing color -
It is so pretty.
3. Fall Fashion -
Cozy sweaters, boots, scarves, mittens, socks...do I need to continue?
4. Warm drinks -
4. Warm drinks -
When it's cold and you drink something warm it brings a whole new meaning to the word cozy. Pumpkin spice lattes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and apple cider are just a few of the things that I will be enjoying over the next few months.
5. Pumpkins -
Pumpkins. The ever-so-famous fall icon that shows up everywhere; on doorsteps, in food, and in children's hands on Halloween evening.
6. Bonfires -
Bonfires are nice to gather around on cool Autumn nights. They're great for just hanging out with friends and family.
7. Movie nights -
I love movies so curling up on the couch with a cup of hot tea and a good movie is, what I would call, an evening well spent.
8. Carving pumpkins -
Carving pumpkins is a must for the fall time.
9. Fog -
There's just something about waking up to fog in the morning, it's pretty and is also a reminder of how fascinating Autumn can be.
10. Long, cool walks -
Just being able to walk without passing out from heat stroke and enjoying nature is a good enough reason for me.
11. Nice smelling candles -
Candles are what really set the mood for the season. The smells of cinnamon, apple, pumpkin, and pecans are some of my favorites.
12. Apple picking -
I've never gone apple picking before but it seems like it is a great activity to do during the season.
13. Thanksgiving -
Thanksgiving is probably my most favorite thing about the season. Being thankful, spending time with family and being surrounded by tons of food is a great way to spend the holiday.
14. Baking comfort foods -
I love baking so fall and winter fit me well in that department. The smell of pie, cookies, bread, and muffins is enough to make my mouth water.

Roasting marshmallows and making s'mores is a fun activity for any season but particularly fall.
