What I'm Thankful For + DIY Turkey Treats

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I wanted to share some things that I am thankful for. I could never fit everything that I am thankful for, in one post so this will be a summed-up version.

Before I begin, I wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it). I hope you and your family have a great one!

Now on to what I'm thankful for...

  • The LORD
He is everything.
  • Family
I have a loving, supportive, amazing family-what more could I ask for?
  • Friends
My friends have stuck with me even through my craziness. You gotta love em.
  • Life Necessities
Food, shelter, clothing, etc. Many people aren't provided these basic necessities and I, sadly,  sometimes find myself taking advantage of them.
  • My ambitions
I am thankful for my ambitions. I always seem to come up with new ideas and things I want to do and I am thankful that I have the personality to do so.
  • Opportunities
God has given me some amazing opportunities and I am so thankful for them.

There are so, so, so many more things that I could list here but it honestly would be impossible for me to put them all in one post. So, here is a shorter version of what I'm thankful for.

What are you thankful for? Leave a comment down below letting me know your response. (:

Now on to the Turkey Treats! I found these on Pinterest so here is the original article I found over it but I have decided to do my own version as well so here it is.

What you will need:
  • Double Stuffed Oreos
  • Peanut Butter Cups
  • Candy Corn
  • Whoppers
  • Chocolate/black Icing
  • Red Icing
  • Yellow Icing

Directions:

  1. Stick 5 candy corn into an Oreo.
  2. Using the chocolate/black icing, "glue" the Oreo with the candy corn, onto another Oreo. (Helps if you set it up next to a wall.)
  3. Take a peanut butter cup and cut (using gentle sawing movements) an edge off of it so that it will have a flat side.
  4. "Glue" that onto the base and side.
  5. Take a whopper and "glue" that onto the top of the peanut butter cup and the side.
  6. Put eyes on the whopper with the yellow and black icing.
  7. Cut the tip off of a candy corn and glue that on the whopper as the beak.
  8. Draw feet on the base Oreo using the yellow icing.
  9. Take the red icing and add a "gobble-thingy" (obviously I don't know what it's called, lol) on the bottom side of the whopper.
  10. You're done!

What you need: Oreos, candy corn, peanut butter cups, whoppers, black icing, yellow icing, and red icing.
Stick 5 candy corn into an Oreo.
Glue that Oreo onto another Oreo with the black icing.
Cut a piece off of the peanut butter cup (so that it has a flat side) and glue that onto the base and side Oreo. Glue a whopper on top of that.
Put eyes on the whopper with the yellow icing and cut the tip off of a piece of candy corn and glue that on the whopper as the beak.
Draw feet on the base Oreo, finish the eyes with the black icing, and add a "gobble-thingy" using the red icing. (Let's ignore the lopsided eyes and legs on mine.)
