2023 truly was one-of-a-kind. At the beginning of the year, I would not have expected my life to be where it is now entering 2024 but, it has been filled with many blessings, big and small. Many changes happened making it a year of major growth. 2024 has started off completely different than any of my past years and I have slowly been learning how to set a new routine in this new kind of life that I'm living.
One of my favorites from our wedding photos. |
January
In January I celebrated many birthdays, spent time with friends, interviewed
for jobs, started up our young adult Bible study again, dog-sat for my
boyfriend for two weeks, launched my digital marketing and design business (M Creative Co.), and went to a baby shower for my (now) niece.
February
In February, I went to my boyfriend's family reunion with him, had sweet time
with friends, helped my boyfriend fully move out of his apartment, went to a
Galentine's party with my closest girlfriends, visited the San Antonio zoo, attended a virtual Delight
Ministries alumni meetup, and continued with job interviews.
March
March consisted of interviews, an engagement party celebrating my (now) niece
and nephew, going on a fun double date with some friends from college, meeting
the newest baby addition to the family, visiting Corpus Christi, photographing
a sweet engagement session for a fellow Delight girlie, many coffee and lunch
dates with girlfriends, watching the Jesus Revolution movie, spending a
weekend in Leakey, TX at my church's family camp, doing a fun studio branding
photoshoot with a friend in San Antonio, and attending my church's annual
youth BBQ fundraiser.
April
In April I got engaged(!!) in Corpus Christi (funny enough on April Fools'
Day), celebrated my 23rd birthday with friends and family, asked my girlfriends to be my bridesmaids, had several
photoshoots, spent Easter with my family and fiance, visited my best friends in College Station, began wedding prepping,
toured our wedding venue, and interviewed for more jobs.
May
In May, I had more photo sessions, shot a friend's wedding, started premarital
counseling, found my wedding dress, went to several friend's parties including a boat part in Austin, got our
engagement photos done, and did my bridal makeup trial.
June
June brought photography sessions, good times with friends, traveling to
Louisiana for my family reunion, booking my first of many wedding dress
fittings, traveling to visit my fiance's family, and celebrating my blog's 8th
anniversary.
July
In June I traveled to the Texas Coast several times, celebrated the 4th of
July with family and friends, went to a sweet bridal shower for my niece, had
fun taking family and grad photos, celebrated our 1-year dating anniversary, and got our
marriage license!
August
August meant more traveling, birthday celebrations, our wedding cake tasting,
our dream couple's shower, a dinner party with friends, and a fun bachelorette
weekend in Austin for my niece.
September
September started off with a wedding weekend for our niece and nephew in which
both my husband and I were in the wedding party, more job interviews, travels,
meeting with our wedding coordinator, meeting with our wedding photographer
and videographer, touring our newly renovated wedding venue, meeting with our
wedding officiant, celebrating my bachelorette party in Gruene with my
bridesmaids, supporting my church mentee by going to her high school's
football game, and spending a weekend at my grandparent's house.
October
October was when we celebrated our niece's birthday in Corpus, I worked a
community event, visited my fiance on the Texas Coast, had our final
confirmation call with our venue, dog sat for my fiance while he was at his
bachelor party, visited our future church some more, shot some fun photography
sessions, led my final young adult Bible study with the group I had been a
part of for 5 years, moved my things down to our house in Port Lavaca, went to
my last church service at my home church, went to my final nail and ring
cleaning appointments in preparation for the wedding, celebrated with our
closest friends and family at our rehearsal dinner, got married on October 26,
traveled to Galveston, and boarded our week-long honeymoon cruise to Jamaica,
Grand Cayman, and Cozumel.
November
In November, we got back from our cruise, spent time with friends and family,
settled into our house together, went to a Cory Asbury concert, started
serving at our new church, went to photo sessions and friend's parties,
started my name change process, and traveled to East Texas to spend
Thanksgiving with my extended family.
December
December brought a job interview, a football game in San Antonio, family
visiting, Christmas parties, game nights, getting a new job as the Digital
Content Creator for Atzenhoffer Chevrolet in Victoria, celebrating my
brother's college graduation, visiting home and seeing friends, visiting home
and Waxahachie for Christmas with family, and a new year's party at our
friend's.
Looking back, I am yet again amazed at His faithfulness in all areas of my
life. He continues to prove that He truly does have a plan for us and will
guide our steps into His will. Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness and love
for me. I'm looking forward to the coming growth that will happen in 2024.
What did your 2023 look like? ♥
